On the morning of April 22, the Democratic Party held an on-site supreme committee meeting on a ship heading from Yokjido to Tongyeong City, Gyeongnam Province. Kim Kyungsoo, who was nominated as the sole Democratic Party candidate for governor of Gyeongnam Province, and Heo Seongmu, head of the Gyeongnam Provincial Party Committee, also attended the meeting.

Leader Jung Chungrae stated, "Politics should first listen to places that are more uncomfortable, more remote, and more desperate. This is why we are holding a supreme committee meeting at sea." Candidate Kim added, "Tourism resources in Gyeongnam have yet to be fully utilized as tourism products," and emphasized, "To achieve the era of 30 million tourists declared by President Lee Jaemyung, transportation issues such as local airports, railroads, and public transportation must be resolved."

This is the first time the on-site supreme committee meeting is being held on a ship. After arriving in Tongyeong, the Democratic Party leadership, including candidate Kim, plan to visit the Jungang Traditional Market to gauge public sentiment.

On the 22nd, Kim Jin Tae, the preliminary candidate for governor of Gangwon Province from the People Power Party, visited the village hall of Susan-ri fishing village in Sonyang-myeon, Yangyang-gun, Gangwon Province, and criticized the leadership, while Jang Dong Hyuk, the party leader, was taking notes. On the same day, leader Jang Donghyuk visited Yangyang in Gangwon Province and announced region-specific pledges. The People Power Party leadership visited the Susanri Rural Fisheries Village Hall to announce the "Time for Gangwon to Rise, Promises that Make My Life Special" on-site pledges. Regional figures, including Jin-Tae Kim, the candidate for governor of Gangwon Province, also attended.

Leader Jang stated, "The People Power Party will lead a major transformation of Gangwon's industries and open a greater future for Gangwon residents and the province itself."

However, there are concerns within the People Power Party regarding the election. Candidate Jin-Tae Kim expressed his worries, saying, "After visiting the field, I found that many people tell me, 'I used to support the party in red, but when I think of the central party, I get so frustrated that I don't want to vote.'"
