The humanoid robot half-marathon competition was held in Beijing on April 19.

The "2026 Humanoid Robot Half-Marathon," co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal People's Government and China Media Group (CMG), attracted participation from over 100 teams.

In this competition, both autonomous robots and remotely controlled robots competed on the same course, and the final standings were determined by combining their times.

According to the competition rules, a weighting coefficient of 1.0 was applied to the autonomous category and 1.2 to the remote-controlled category to calculate the final rankings.

The remote-controlled robot "Lightning" (Chinese: 閃電, Lightning), representing the Jueyoung Jektu team under Honor, was the first to cross the finish line, recording a time of 48 minutes and 19 seconds.

However, after applying the weighting rule, the autonomous robot "Lightning" from the same company's Jiecheondaeseong team, which finished in 50 minutes and 26 seconds, was awarded the overall victory.

For reference, as of April 22, 2026, the current human half-marathon world record stands at 57 minutes and 20 seconds.
