Busan Metropolitan City will hold the 'Galmaetgil Walking Together Event' from April 27 to November 30, 2026.
This event has been organized to promote citizen leisure activities and to spread a walking culture. It is designed so that participants can experience both the natural landscapes and urban areas of Busan centering on the Galmaetgil trails.
The program consists of four types: the Regular Galmaetgil Walk, the Office Worker Expedition, the Sunset Galmaetgil Walk, and the Walking Together Galmaetgil.
The event will utilize 23 Galmaetgil courses and 10 themed courses, with a total of 86 sessions planned. Approximately 1,400 people can participate.
There are also programs for those with limited mobility. A professional trekking guide will accompany participants to ensure safety. Participation is free of charge and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis via the Galmaetgil website.
An Cheolsoo, Director of the Green Urban Bureau, said, "We plan to utilize the Galmaetgil not only as a simple walking trail but also as a resource for citizen health and tourism."
