Founded in 2012, KAIS is a smart factory automation solutions company that supports the automation of manufacturing processes. The company has formed partnerships with leading global firms from Germany, Switzerland, and other countries, supplying various sensors needed for precise measurement, as well as equipment for defect detection and automation, to the Korean market.
An official from KAIS stated on the 23rd, "We are boldly moving away from our initial business model of distributing and selling automation products, and evolving into an advanced inspection solutions company."
Designated as a venture company in 2023, KAIS maintains the foundation of its existing sensor business while enhancing its product lineup and integrating artificial intelligence (AI). The company has made it a core value to gain insights that span the entire manufacturing process by combining AI technology with 3D measurement and inspection systems.
KAIS Machine Vision utilizes cameras and a variety of sensors to detect ultra-fine defects and faults, and has been applied in multiple industries, including semiconductors, displays, and biotechnology. Additionally, by leveraging an Internet of Things (IoT) platform, KAIS enables seamless data communication and monitoring, as well as cloud integration, to establish a manufacturing environment that can be managed 24 hours a day.
The business targets are also rapidly advancing. Beyond electronic components and displays, KAIS now aims at the precision 3D measurement and inspection fields for automotive electronic components and cutting-edge next-generation semiconductor packaging processes.
One of the flagship products is the AI-based 3D Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) system, which extracts precise 3D vision data through components such as a camera optical engine, and uses AI to analyze this data in real time, thereby enhancing inspection reliability. Through this, KAIS is expanding not only in the domestic market but also into East Asian markets, including Taiwan and Japan. In addition, KAIS has recently completed the development of a high-resolution 3D measurement and inspection system for HBM semiconductors, which are experiencing a surge in demand, and plans to begin full-scale sales.
