Weverse Brain announced on April 22 that it has launched the 'Speaking Max Chinese' service, which combines its proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) speech analysis technology with local experience-based content.
Speaking Max is a foreign language conversation learning service with a cumulative membership of 1.2 million users. Building on its existing English and Japanese courses, a Chinese course has now been added. With this, Weverse Brain has established a multilingual conversation learning environment.
Speaking Max Chinese offers video content filmed on-site in Beijing and Shanghai. By incorporating authentic local expressions and culture, the service creates a 'local experience' learning environment that allows learners to feel as if they are in China.
In addition, sophisticated AI-based speech analysis technology has been applied to suit the characteristics of the Chinese language. Because the meaning in Chinese can change according to tones, it is a particularly challenging language to correct pronunciation through self-study. The company's proprietary engine, based on multilingual-specialized speech data, compares and analyzes a user's voice data in real time to provide immediate feedback.
The learning process consists of all levels, from beginner to advanced, supporting step-by-step learning tailored to each user's proficiency. Currently, the beginner and intermediate courses have been launched first, and the advanced course will be released sequentially.
Cho Sewon, CEO of Weverse Brain, stated, "We have enhanced the efficiency of Chinese language learning through locally filmed content and advanced AI speech analysis technology," and added, "We will continue to introduce innovative services that combine high-quality content with AI technology going forward."
