Daesang Chungjungone is launching a “Pickling Sauce,” a specialty vinegar designed to make homemade pickles easily at home.
According to Daesang Chungjungone on April 22, Pickling Sauce is a convenient vinegar product that allows consumers to make homemade pickles simply by pouring it over their preferred vegetables, with no need for heating or measuring. The product is made by adding lemon, ginger, mustard, coriander, dill, and other spices to fermented vinegar, resulting in a richer and deeper flavor. With the specialty vinegar market-tailored for pickles and preserved vegetables-continuing to grow steadily, the company expects this new product to also receive a positive response from consumers.
Recently, sauce consumer trends have shifted from the “One Source Multi Use” concept, where one sauce is used for various dishes, to the “Mono Use” trend, which focuses on sauces designed for specific dishes. As a result, custom-designed specialty sauces are gaining popularity.
In response, Daesang Chungjungone has continued to expand its lineup of “Mono Use” products, including the “Hae-sal-dam-eun Jangajji Soy Sauce” launched in 2022, as well as “Hae-sal-dam-eun Jangjorim Soy Sauce,” “Sunchang Low-Sugar & Low-Calorie Bibim Noodle Sauce,” and “Sunchang Low-Sugar Brisket Soybean Paste Stew Seasoning.”
Pickling Sauce is an ultra-convenient, fermented-vinegar-based item that enables easy homemade pickle-making by simply pouring it over any vegetable, with no need for additional heating or measuring. The usage is also very simple: pour the Pickling Sauce over chopped vegetables at a 1:1 ratio, then let it marinate in the refrigerator for about a day to enjoy delicious homemade pickles. One bottle can be used for three cucumbers or two onions (about 500-600g of vegetables), making it ideal for small households looking to use up leftover vegetables in the refrigerator.
