With just one day left before the ceasefire deadline, Iran did not reveal whether it would participate in the second round of talks, leading all three major U.S. stock indexes to close lower on April 21 (local time).
On this day at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 0.59% from the previous trading day. The S&P 500 index, which is focused on large-cap stocks, fell by 0.63%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq index declined by 0.59% at the close.
