The Joseon Royal Tombs Eastern District Office, under the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center, announced on April 22 that it will host the "Joseon Royal Tombs Story Trail with Music" seven times from May 2 to June 6.

This event is designed by combining the historical stories of each royal tomb with music. At Donggureung, music performances and family-oriented experiential programs will be held over two days starting May 2. On the first day, "The Story of Stars: Meeting the Stars through Music at Donggureung," a convergence performance blending astronomy, history, and music, will connect the stories of King Taejo, King Yeongjo, and King Seonjo with the National Treasure Cheonsang Yeolcha Bunyajido (Celestial Chart). The performance will combine an explanation by Dr. Yang Hongjin of the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute with traditional Korean music. On the second day, the "World Heritage Joseon Royal Tombs Family Exploration Team" program, where families can explore the royal tombs together, will be held twice.

On May 21, at Gwangneung, the event "Royal Tomb Walk: Strolling through Gwangneung with Music," themed on the story of Grand Prince Suyang, will take place. There will also be an ecological exploration of the Bokjagi forest path, as well as a guided tour of the royal tomb site while listening to the story of King Sejo.

The "Strolling the Queen's Tomb" program, which offers a walk around Sareung, will be held on May 28.

On June 6, Memorial Day, at Hongyureung, the event "Stories of Independence Activists at the Imperial Tomb," featuring a lecture by historical storyteller Shim Yonghwan and a classical music performance, will shed light on the lives and history of independence activists during the Korean Empire period.
