Jindo County Wins Excellence Prize in 'Local Non-Tax Revenue Collection Performance Evaluation'

Jindo County in South Jeolla Province achieved outstanding results in the evaluation of local non-tax revenue collection performance. The county announced that it was awarded the Excellence Prize after ranking second overall in the "2025 Local Non-Tax Revenue Collection Performance Evaluation" organized by South Jeolla Province.

This evaluation comprehensively reflected six indicators, including the non-tax revenue collection rate and penalty collection rate, targeting 22 cities and counties within the province.

The county received high marks overall due to its active collection efforts, such as holding non-tax revenue collection strategy meetings, operating a focused collection period, implementing special management for large delinquent taxpayers, and seizing license plates of vehicles with outstanding taxes.

In particular, it was analyzed that the establishment of an interdepartmental collaboration system centered on the non-tax revenue team and strengthened management of delinquent amounts contributed to this achievement.

Heesoo Kim, the governor of Jindo County, stated, "Non-tax revenue is dispersed across various departments, making it difficult to manage," and added, "This achievement is the result of collaboration and efforts from all employees."

He also emphasized, "Going forward, we will continue to secure fiscal soundness through a fair and efficient collection system."

Meanwhile, Jindo County plans to continue building a stable foundation for local finances through systematic management and collection activities for non-tax revenue.
