This agreement includes plans to gradually relocate the company's headquarters and research and development functions to Ansan, in conjunction with the expansion of production facilities prompted by the construction of Stormtech’s second factory. The signing ceremony was attended by Min Geun Lee, Mayor of Ansan, Ki Hwan Kang, CEO of Stormtech Co., Ltd., and other officials.

Stormtech Co., Ltd., founded in 1999, is a KOSDAQ-listed company specializing in the research, development, and manufacturing of key components for household water purifiers. The company has built a comprehensive portfolio covering fittings, valves, faucets, tubing, and other purifier parts, and currently holds the top market share in the domestic fittings segment.

Based on business relationships with major global and domestic home appliance companies, Stormtech Co., Ltd. has sustained stable growth, recording sales of 61.7 billion won and an operating profit of 13.9 billion won as of 2024.

With this investment, Stormtech Co., Ltd. plans to construct a new factory on a site at 818, Wonsi-dong, Danwon-gu, Ansan City, with a land area of 6,158 square meters and a total floor area of 12,444 square meters, and to establish automated facilities focused on the valve production line.

In particular, the investment is expanding from the initial focus on building a second factory to include the relocation of the headquarters and research and development functions, taking into account Ansan City’s industrial infrastructure and corporate support environment. This is expected to lead to the concentration of the company’s core functions in the region.

Ansan City is the largest manufacturing cluster in Korea, centered on the Banwol-Sihwa Industrial Complex. It is a business-friendly city equipped with smart green industrial infrastructure, excellent transportation accessibility, and a swift administrative support system. Through industrial policies that support the advancement of manufacturing and the transition to automated production, the city is strengthening its foundation for corporate growth.

Min Geun Lee, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "Stormtech is a technology-driven company holding the top domestic market share, and this agreement is an example of Ansan’s industrial competitiveness and capacity to attract businesses. We will provide full support so that not only the new factory but also the company’s headquarters and R&D functions can be established in Ansan."

He added, "We will continue to attract outstanding companies, develop Ansan into a center for advanced manufacturing, and further promote job creation and revitalization of the local economy."

Meanwhile, Ansan City plans to enhance customized support for investing companies and continue industrial advancement by attracting headquarters and research and development functions, taking this agreement as an opportunity.
