Goryeong County Makes Local Tax System Easy and Accurate to Understand

Contributing to the Promotion of a Diligent Tax Payment Culture
On April 21, Goryeong County in North Gyeongsang Province announced that it has published and will distribute the '2026 Useful Local Tax Guide' booklet to help county residents and local businesses easily and accurately understand the local tax system.
This newly published guide consists of a total of 65 pages and includes an overview of local taxes, a summary table of local taxes, major amendments to local tax-related laws for 2026, and detailed information for each local tax item.
In particular, the 'Summary Table of Local Taxes' presents explanations of local tax concepts and organizes local taxes by category and month using tables, making it easy to see payment methods and deadlines at a glance. The 'Detailed Guide by Local Tax Item' provides comprehensive information for 11 tax categories-including acquisition tax, property tax, and automobile tax-covering an overview, taxable objects, taxpayers, tax base, and tax rates.
The booklet will be available at the county office's local tax service desk as well as at town and township offices.
An official from the county said, "We hope that this guidebook will help resolve residents' questions about local taxes and provide diverse tax information, thereby fostering a culture of diligent tax payment."
