Chairman Hwang Sungyeop of Korea Financial Investment Association Joins "Relay Campaign to Eradicate Illegal Youth Gambling"

Hwang Sungyeop, Chairman of the Korea Financial Investment Association, participated in the "Relay Campaign to Eradicate Illegal Youth Gambling" organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.

Chairman Hwang joined the campaign upon the recommendation of Kim Sunghwan, CEO of Korea Investment & Securities. He recommended Oh Hwakyung, Chairman of the Korea Federation of Savings Banks, as the next participant.

According to the Korea Financial Investment Association on April 21, this campaign is a nationwide relay initiative aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of illegal cyber gambling among youth and increasing public vigilance.

Recently, illegal cyber gambling has been rapidly spreading among young people in forms similar to online games. As a result, social concerns have grown due to the rising number of cases leading to addiction and financial harm.

Chairman Hwang stated, "Illegal youth gambling is not just an individual issue, but one that undermines the very foundation of our society's future. The Korea Financial Investment Association will do its part by expanding financial education for young people to help them develop sound financial values and grow up healthy."
