The Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation is recruiting students for its Elevator Specialist Training Course.
The foundation announced on the 21st that, as a follow-up measure to the memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed last month with the Korea Elevator Safety Agency at the Northern Business Headquarters in Uijeongbu, it will be selecting students for the "2026 Elevator Specialist Training Course."
The training will take place over a total of 18 days, from May 18 to June 12. Theoretical classes will be held at the Northern Business Headquarters, while hands-on field training will be conducted at the Elevator Human Resources Development Center in Geochang-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do.
The main curriculum covers elevator structure and maintenance, safety management, and relevant regulations. Practical, job-oriented lessons will include basic theories of mechanics and electricity, wire rope terminal processing, and control panel circuit configuration. The program also offers special lectures on employment and business communication. Through this, participants are expected to gain practical adaptability required for employment in the elevator industry.
Park Jongman, head of the foundation's Northern Business Headquarters, stated, "This course represents a collaborative model that combines the public value of elevator safety with the foundation's role in job creation. Based on our partnership with the Korea Elevator Safety Agency, we will actively support graduates not just in building their practical competencies but also in securing employment with outstanding companies in the province through thorough post-training support."
