Lotte Mart announced on April 21 that its Culture Center will begin recruiting new members for the summer semester at 60 locations nationwide starting April 23.
With the price of flowers expected to surge this year due to rising oil and raw material costs, the center is offering a course where participants can decorate a carnation flowerpot themselves for just 5,000 won, including material costs. This program, developed in collaboration with the headquarters' Lifestyle Team, has been expanded by 50% compared to the previous year to reflect customer demand, and will be available at 36 locations nationwide, including the Eunpyeong branch.

Fifteen branches, including Songpa and Gimpo Hangang, will feature the increasingly popular "Carnation Balloon" class, while 25 branches nationwide will host baking classes such as "Carnation Cookies, Rice Cake Cakes, and Cupcakes."
The "Happy Hour" promotion, which has been well received by families with young children, will also be enhanced. After introducing the "Happy Hour" discount for infant classes from 4 to 6 p.m. during the spring semester, class sales during this time slot rose by approximately 30% year-on-year. For the upcoming summer semester, the discount benefit will be increased from 10,000 won to 20,000 won.
The center will also introduce differentiated courses at each store. At MAXX Yeongdeungpo, a "personalized supplement intake" class taught directly by a pharmacist will be offered as part of the "expert-linked courses" in partnership with in-store tenants. At the Singal branch, a pet expert will lead a "behavioral consulting and massage" class for dogs. In addition, the "Empathy Education" program, developed in partnership with the global child rights NGO Good Neighbors, will be offered at 30 branches nationwide, including Gimpo Hangang.
From April 23 to May 8, customers who register for regular courses on the website will receive two 5,000 won discount coupons per member. In addition, customers who complete registration for summer semester regular courses by June 7 will receive a grocery shopping coupon worth 5,000 won each month until August (three coupons in total), which can be used at Lotte Mart offline stores (excluding Lotte Mart MAXX) for purchases of 80,000 won or more.
Eun-A Lee, Head of the Culture Center at the Lotte Mart & Super Living Tenant Team, said, "Even during this era of high prices, we have prepared high-value special lectures and reasonable discounts so that families can enjoy an abundant and happy Family Month," adding, "We plan to continue offering differentiated educational content unique to the Lotte Mart Culture Center, beyond just simple hobby classes."
