Apple announced on April 21 (local time) that CEO Tim Cook will step down from his position in September. His successor will be John Ternus, the current Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering.


CEO Cook said, "It has been the greatest honor of my life to lead Apple," and added, "I am deeply grateful to have worked with a team dedicated to enriching customers' lives and creating the best products and services."
