[Breaking] New York Stocks Close Lower as Attention Focuses on Possible Second Round of Talks

With only two days left until the end of the ceasefire between the United States and Iran, and with the possibility of a second round of talks still undecided, all three major U.S. stock indexes closed lower on April 20 (local time).


On this day at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 0.01% from the previous trading day. The S&P 500 Index, which is centered on large-cap stocks, fell by 0.24%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Index dropped by 0.26% by the close of the session.
