Shinsegae Academy Launches Summer Semester with Expanded Wellness, Financial Planning, and Kids Programs

Family Programs for Summer Vacation and Museum-Linked Courses Also Available
Shinsegae Department Store's cultural center, Shinsegae Academy, will launch a variety of classes for the 2026 summer semester, including wellness, financial planning, and kids & family programs. Existing members can register starting April 22, while new members may enroll starting April 23.
This semester will feature a range of themed courses, starting with the wellness program. The "Wellness Festa," an all-day class format where participants can experience yoga, barre, and running in one day, will be held sequentially at Centum City (May 30), Gangnam (May 31), Hanam (June 20), and Daegu Shinsegae (June 21). Some classes will offer gifts and beverages provided by sponsoring brands.
Courses on financial planning have also been prepared. The "Money Show" will take place at Uijeongbu (May 31), Gangnam (July 19), Daejeon Shinsegae Art & Science (July 26), and the main branch (August 1), featuring lectures on real estate and stock market trends. Real estate experts Kim Hakryeol, Chae Sangwook, and tax accountant Lee Jangwon will participate to cover investment strategies and tax-saving methods. In addition, there will be special lectures on real estate and overseas stocks.
Programs for families have been strengthened for the summer vacation season. At select branches, hands-on classes will be offered, including sessions on scientific principles, dance classes for children, and mini garden-making workshops.
Reflecting growing interest in K-culture, museum-linked courses will also be held. An exhibition tour program with a researcher from the National Museum of Korea will offer guided insights into late Joseon-era paintings, calligraphy, and ceramics.
Courses will be offered at 12 locations nationwide, with registration available through the official website and mobile app.
A Shinsegae Department Store representative stated, "For this summer semester, we have prepared a comprehensive program spanning wellness, financial planning, and kids' activities, creating a summer the whole family can enjoy together," adding, "Shinsegae Academy will continue to strive to provide courses that enrich our customers' lives."
