"Our Neighborhood Makeover" at Saengmyeongmunhwa Park
Four Days at Seongbaksup Forest, May 14?17

The Tourism Department of Seongju County in North Gyeongsang Province conducted a large-scale environmental cleanup volunteer activity at Saengmyeongmunhwa Park, a popular tourist destination, on April 20 as part of the "Our Neighborhood Makeover" initiative ahead of the "2026 Seongju Chamoe & Life Culture Festival."

In particular, cultural tourism interpreters who share the mission of nurturing local cultural heritage once again actively participated in this event, following last month’s activities, adding further significance to the occasion.

This initiative was designed to carefully maintain Saengmyeongmunhwa Park, which embodies the festival’s core theme of "life," and create an environment where visitors can fully experience Seongju’s unique life culture.

Staff from the Tourism Department meticulously inspected every corner of the park, repaired facilities, and devoted their efforts to delivering a vibrant image of Seongju to visitors expected during the festival period.

Kim Misun, head of the Tourism Department, stated, "As we welcome a festival season brimming with the energy of life, the Tourism Department has taken the lead in tending to our county’s core space for life culture. I am deeply grateful for the invaluable participation of the interpreters who joined us once again with joy this month, and I hope you will feel the warm vitality of Seongju in the carefully prepared Saengmyeongmunhwa Park."
