Mom's Touch has stated that procedures are currently underway regarding a customer disturbance incident that occurred at one of its stores in October of last year.

On April 20, Mom's Touch headquarters released a statement saying, "The in-store customer disturbance incident, which is currently making headlines in the media, took place about six months ago in October of last year at one of our franchise locations. At that time, the police responded and conducted an investigation, and related procedures are still ongoing." The company added, "Mom's Touch places great importance on the safety and rights of our franchise owners and employees working on-site."

Mom's Touch further stated, "The franchise store in question is experiencing significant psychological and business-related stress due to the incident from the past becoming a social issue again." The head office also said that if the franchise requests, it will proactively provide guidance and consulting for legal review as a business partner, acting with a sense of responsibility.

Previously, on April 19, a video titled "Troublesome Woman Upends Everything at Mom's Touch" was posted on various social media platforms. In the video, the incident begins when a female customer demands a drink refill. When the store refuses, citing company policy, the woman immediately raises her voice and strongly protests. She then throws objects around the counter area and verbally abuses the staff, causing a commotion.

This woman, apparently still upset, enters the area used by employees and becomes physically violent. The video also clearly shows her chasing a female employee who tried to avoid the violence and striking her in the face. The woman's rampage was stopped by the police, who responded to a report made by another customer present at the store.

The person who filmed and uploaded the video commented, "The woman deliberately knocked over a cup of cola on the table, demanded a refill, and when refused, unilaterally resorted to violence."

An employee who was present also shared his account in the comments. He said, "The male staff member in the video is me," adding, "This happened in October of last year, and I don't know why it's spreading only now."

He continued, "The female customer was already angry and speaking informally when she placed her order. After ordering a set menu and taking her drink first, she intentionally spilled her beverage at the table and then demanded a refill."

He added, "When the refill was refused, she caused a disturbance just as shown in the video. While I went to lock the door out of concern that she might flee, the female employee was harmed, and my biggest regret is that I couldn't prevent it."
