Namyangju Care Association Successfully Holds Children's Sports Day for Local Child Centers

Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on April 20 that the Namyangju Care Association successfully held a children's sports day for local child centers at Geumgok Indoor Gymnasium on the 18th.

This event was organized under the theme "Namyangju Local Child Center Harmony Festival, Play Rights ON! Happiness RUN!" It aimed to provide children from local child centers with opportunities to step outside their everyday care environments, run and cooperate with their peers, foster emotional stability and social development, and strengthen exchanges and solidarity between institutions.

Approximately 300 people, including children and staff from 15 local child centers, participated in the sports day. Joo Kwangdeok, Mayor of Namyangju City, as well as other city officials and local figures, also attended the event.

The sports day featured competitions between the Blue Team and the Red Team. Various physical activities, such as a parachute relay, color board flipping, four-way tug-of-war, and balloon popping, were held. Through cooperation and competition, participating children naturally experienced interaction and communication with one another.

Joo Kwangdeok, Mayor of Namyangju City, stated, "The sports day is not only a place where children can enjoy their 'right to play,' but also an opportunity for the community to reaffirm the importance of caring for children together. Play is an essential part of healthy growth and learning for children. I hope this sports day becomes a precious opportunity for children to run and play freely, create joyful memories, and learn to understand and cooperate with each other."
