Mingyu Kim Ties for 22nd, Rahm Claims Second Win of the Season

On April 19 (local time), he shot an even-par 71 with two birdies and two bogeys in the fourth round of LIV Golf Mexico City (total prize money of 30 million dollars) held at Chapultepec Golf Club (par 71, 7,443 yards) in Mexico City, Mexico. With a final total of 5-under-par 279, Kim finished tied for 22nd. This marks his best result since debuting in LIV Golf this year. His previous best was a tie for 32nd at Adelaide in February.

Jon Rahm (Spain) fired a 7-under-par 64 to clinch a dominant victory by a margin of six strokes (21-under-par 263). This is his second win of the season, following last month's victory in Hong Kong, and his fourth career win on the LIV Golf tour. He received a winner's prize of 4 million dollars (about 5.9 billion won). David Puig (Spain) finished second (15-under-par 269), while Tyrrell Hatton (England) finished tied for fifth (11-under-par 273).


Korean-Canadian player Taehun Lee carded a 2-under-par round to finish tied for 15th (8-under-par 276). Players of the Korean Golf Club, comprised of Korean and Korean-descent golfers, struggled in this event. Byeonghun An finished tied for 25th (4-under-par 280), Younghan Song tied for 39th (2-over-par 286), and Danny Lee (New Zealand) tied for 52nd (7-over-par 291). Bryson DeChambeau (USA), who had won the previous two consecutive LIV Golf tournaments, withdrew from the event.
