Picogram Co., Ltd. (CEO: Choi Seoklim)’s premium home environment appliance brand Pureal successfully concluded the “PURE WATER, REAL HOPE” donation campaign, which was held in March to commemorate World Water Day in partnership with the international relief and development organization Oxfam Korea. Through this campaign, a total of 5 million won in donations was collected together with customers, and the entire amount will be used to support safe drinking water supply and water infrastructure improvement projects.

This campaign was designed to improve the environments of areas around the world where access to clean water is difficult and to allow everyday consumption to naturally translate into acts of goodwill. Thanks to the structure in which donations were automatically made with purchases of water purifiers and genuine filters, anyone could participate without burden, and the act of consumption itself was expanded into “sharing the value of clean water,” giving the campaign even greater significance.

Various promotions organized to encourage meaningful consumption by customers also contributed to the campaign’s reach. Special discounts on water purifiers, eco-friendly scrubber gifts, and the SNS certification participation event “Water & Hope Challenge” received significant attention, and the number of participants sharing their purchase certifications and messages steadily increased. As a result, meaningful consumption activities supporting donations naturally spread to more customers.

A Pureal representative commented, “The delivery of these donations was especially meaningful as we were able to share the value and hope of clean water with our customers,” adding, “As a water purifier company, we will continue to engage in various activities to help create a sustainable water environment.”

Meanwhile, Pureal has been driving technological innovation to provide safer and cleaner water based on 26 years of accumulated proprietary filter technology and direct-flow water purifier development capabilities. The company also continues to carry out water-related social contribution activities as part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Oxfam, an international relief and development organization founded in 1942 in Oxford, United Kingdom, is currently active in about 80 countries worldwide, implementing programs related to drinking water, sanitation, food aid, livelihood support, women’s protection, and education.
