The government-led experiential education program aimed at fostering future talent in the aerospace sector is being held again. On April 20, the Korea Aerospace Administration announced that it will recruit 70 participants for the "3rd Space Camp," targeting middle school students nationwide.

This year’s camp will take place over three days and two nights, from May 23 to 25, and participation is completely free of charge. Shuttle transportation will also be provided from major metropolitan hubs across the country, lowering the barrier to participation regardless of region.

The participating students will visit key institutions in the aerospace field, including the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute, the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, the National Science Museum, and the Naro Space Center, to experience on-site research and development activities.

Beyond simple tours, the program will focus on hands-on mission tasks. In collaboration with the Korea Science and Space Youth Group, participants will take part in a "Moon Landing Project" mission, which will include astronomical observation, rocket building and launching, and team-based research activities.

To apply, students must download the application form from the Korea Aerospace Administration website, fill it out, and submit it via email. Applications will be accepted from April 20 until 6 p.m. on May 2. The selection results will be announced on May 11.

Tae seog Oh, Administrator of the Korea Aerospace Administration, stated, "The challenge toward space begins with a small sense of curiosity," and added, "I hope this camp will serve as a springboard for young people to take their first steps toward space."
