People Power Party Announces Local Election Slogan: "Clean and Competent?It's Time for Our Regions to Rise"

The People Power Party confirmed the slogan for the 9th Nationwide Local Elections, which will be held on June 3, as "Time for Regions to Rise: Cleanly and Competently" on April 19.

Seo Ji-young, head of public relations for the People Power Party, attended the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that morning and stated, "This election is about checking the runaway rule of the Lee Jae-myung administration, blocking the Democratic Party's attempt to seize control of local governments by fielding inappropriate candidates with ethical controversies, and overcoming Korea's crisis through restoring livelihoods and revitalizing local economies."

Seo further explained the meaning of the slogan, saying, "'Cleanliness' represents the principle of fairness that rejects crime and corruption, while 'competence' refers to the ability to turn promises into tangible results. 'Time for regions to rise' is a message signaling that now is the moment for change and progress."

Seo added, "This slogan first establishes clear criteria of moral superiority and practical feasibility, is structured to connect the lives of individuals in each region and across the nation, and serves as a platform-type message that can be expanded into various campaigns depending on the situation. Through the local elections, we will clearly demonstrate that making a wise choice to help Korea rise again is ultimately the best way to improve the lives of each and every citizen."
