Zespri, the kiwifruit brand, announced on April 20 that it will be shipping New Zealand-grown kiwifruit to the domestic market for the first time this year.
Zespri emphasized, "A single kiwifruit contains more than 20 types of vitamins and minerals, making it a convenient way to replenish nutrients that can be easily lacking in a busy lifestyle." The flagship product, SunGold kiwifruit, contains 152mg of vitamin C per 100g. This is sufficient to meet the recommended daily intake for adults (100mg) with just one fruit. Vitamin C is an essential nutrient responsible for key bodily functions such as boosting immunity, relieving fatigue, and providing antioxidant effects.

As a result, about 80% of participants saw their blood vitamin C levels return to the normal range. Indicators of inflammation, feelings of fatigue, and respiratory symptoms also improved.
Zespri has expanded its lineup by introducing RubyRed kiwifruit alongside SunGold. RubyRed kiwifruit is a variety developed through natural crossbreeding after more than 20 years of research, featuring red flesh and a distinctly sweet, berry-like flavor.
This month, Zespri is offering RubyRed kiwifruit for a limited time and is collaborating with the dining brand Ashley to launch a seasonal limited-edition dessert. Next month, additional menu items using SunGold kiwifruit will be introduced, and a roadshow will be held at major locations of the Starfield shopping mall complex.
