For fresh food, discounts will be offered on 18 products-including eggs, tofu, and bean sprouts-which have a significant impact on household grocery costs. Additionally, Emart24, a Shinsegae Group convenience store, will offer a 30% discount on 50 daily necessities-including eggs, ramen, bottled water, and detergent-when paying 10,000 won or more with an event card throughout May. To further establish itself as a designated outlet for the high oil price relief fund, until the end of April, Emart24 will also provide a 30% payback event for all 109 products under its own label (PL) brand “Ye!low” and for 11 daily necessities-including eggs, ramen, bottled water, and detergent-when payment is made via Naver Pay point money.
Meanwhile, the government plans to alleviate the public’s burden from high oil prices and inflation caused by the Middle East conflict by providing relief funds of at least 100,000 won and up to 600,000 won per person to 70% of the population. Applications will be accepted from April 27, and the funds can be used from the day after application until August 31.
