According to KB Financial Group, its key affiliate KB Kookmin Bank has continued to hire more than 30 new employees with disabilities each year since signing an agreement with the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities in 2022. This year, the bank also plans to further increase its recruitment of new employees. Notably, this year, KB Kookmin Bank will newly introduce a 'regular corporate experience program' and 'internship hiring' to support the competitiveness of young talent with disabilities, providing them with practical work experience. The aim is to allow these young people to gain mid-to-long-term career experience in advance and to help them find job roles that best suit them.

KB Insurance also plans to expand hiring of people with disabilities this year by newly developing 11 job positions exclusively for people with disabilities and implementing a 'job-tailored field placement strategy.' This strategy aims to broaden the scope of work beyond simple administrative support tasks to include value-added roles such as supporting the planning and development of social contribution projects, thereby increasing job satisfaction among employees with disabilities and establishing an advanced employment model.

KB Securities is also promoting employment through 'Seomseom Oksu,' a program in collaboration with the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities, in addition to employing people with disabilities for in-house positions. This public interest store, where people with disabilities who have completed training at the agency provide free nail care services to rail passengers, currently operates in 12 locations nationwide. KB Securities directly operates three of these locations: Yeongdeungpo Station (opened in 2022), Osong Station (opened in 2023), and most recently, Dongtan Station (opened in April 2026).

Beyond direct employment, KB Financial Group has also been expanding indirect employment through equity investments in 'Bravo Beaver,' a standard workplace for people with developmental disabilities. With the participation of the bank, securities, and capital affiliates, a total of 48 people were employed indirectly as of the end of last year. This year, the group plans to further strengthen the creation of regionally-based jobs for people with disabilities by expanding participation to include KB Asset Management as well.

A KB Financial Group representative stated, "Our core goal is to establish a culture where talented people with disabilities can fully demonstrate their expertise and be naturally recognized as key members of the organization, rather than simply increasing the number of hires." The representative added, "We will build an inclusive workplace where disabilities do not hinder work, and complete a truly authentic model unique to KB Financial Group."
