Taking into account both the growing interest in K-food and the market potential in Canada, Ediya Coffee chose Toronto, which has a high proportion of Korean residents, as its first base. The company aims to establish itself in the local market by leveraging its competitive menu and operational know-how.
At this store, Ediya Coffee is offering signature beverages such as Amangchu and Strawberry Latte, as well as other Korean-style drinks like Dalgona Latte and Sikhye. To cater to local tastes, the menu also includes items exclusive to Canada, such as Maple Nut Cream Latte and Signature Half & Half Latte. The bakery menu features popular items from Korea, including Honey Caramel Bread and Dalgona Ice Cream Waffle, along with Korean-style burritos and sandwiches made with buldak and bulgogi.
Starting with this first store, Ediya Coffee is considering expanding to three locations in Canada by the end of the year. Simultaneously, the company plans to accelerate its global expansion by preparing to open a store in Laos this year as well.
An Ediya Coffee representative stated, "Through this first Canadian store, we plan to introduce the taste and culture of Korean coffee to the local market. Leveraging our unique menu competitiveness and brand management capabilities, we will provide differentiated experiences to local customers and continuously expand the presence of Korean homegrown coffee brands in the global market."
