Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance announced on April 20 that it has launched the "Digital Accident Protection Insurance" through its direct channel, designed to safeguard against digital financial incidents such as voice phishing and secondhand transaction scams.
This product provides coverage not only for cyber financial crimes like voice phishing and messenger phishing, but also for damages incurred during non-face-to-face direct transactions, such as secondhand deals.
It covers losses from cyber financial crimes up to 5 million won, and with the family protection rider, the entire family can be insured together. Notably, industry-exclusive coverage for internet shopping mall fraud has been recognized for its uniqueness through the acquisition of exclusive usage rights, providing compensation of up to 1.5 million won.
A representative from Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance stated, "Financial accidents in the digital environment have become an everyday risk, no longer limited to specific groups." The representative added, "The newly launched 'Digital Accident Protection Insurance' focuses on providing practical coverage against issues such as voice phishing and secondhand transaction scams. Moving forward, we plan to continue introducing lifestyle-oriented products through our direct channel to help customers prepare for a variety of everyday risks."
