MEDICA is the world’s largest medical device and healthcare exhibition, held annually in Dusseldorf, Germany. It serves as a global business platform where participants can explore innovative technologies and the latest market trends across the entire medical industry, including medical equipment, diagnostic devices, digital healthcare, and medical consumables.

MEDICA 2026 is scheduled to take place from November 16 to 19, with approximately 5,000 companies and around 80,000 industry professionals expected to attend.

The recruitment is aimed at ten local companies specializing in medical device manufacturing and solutions that are preparing to enter the global market. Interested companies can apply online through the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency website.

Companies ultimately selected will receive support that includes: 70% coverage of booth rental and setup costs, logistics and shipping expenses, and interpretation services. The city expects that this group participation support will help strengthen the overseas expansion foundation for local companies, particularly amid challenging export conditions due to recent developments in the Middle East, and provide practical assistance in developing new markets.

In fact, twelve local companies that participated in MEDICA 2024 achieved consultation results totaling 25.64 million dollars (approximately KRW 36.2 billion) and contract negotiations amounting to 14.65 million dollars (approximately KRW 20.7 billion) on site, demonstrating the competitiveness of Seongnam’s medical device industry.

A Seongnam City official said, “Through this exhibition, we aim to widely promote the technological capabilities of local medical device companies in the global market and will continue to provide support for overseas marketing and market expansion.”
