Trump: "U.S. Negotiators Heading to Pakistan... Will Destroy Infrastructure if Talks Fail"

U.S. President Donald Trump warned on April 19 (local time) that the U.S. negotiation team would arrive in Pakistan tomorrow evening for talks with Iran, and threatened to destroy Iran's infrastructure facilities if an agreement is not reached.

President Trump announced on the social media platform Truth Social that morning, saying, "My delegation is going to Islamabad, Pakistan," and added, "They will be there tomorrow evening for negotiations."

President Trump stressed, "We have made a very fair and reasonable offer, and we hope they will accept it," and warned, "Otherwise, the United States will destroy all of Iran's power plants and bridges."

The United States and Iran have agreed to a two-week ceasefire and are currently holding negotiations to end the war. In the first round of peace talks, both sides negotiated for about 21 hours but failed to bridge their differences over issues such as Iran's nuclear program, and returned to their respective countries. The ceasefire is set to expire on the 21st.

Previously, President Trump stated that he would end the war with Iran within six weeks. It appears he is planning to hold additional talks with Iran before the ceasefire ends on the 21st.
