On April 19, Korea Trade Insurance Corporation (K-SURE) announced that it had received a comprehensive Grade A rating for the second consecutive year in the Public Institution Safety Activity Level Assessment, which is overseen by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

K-SURE received consistently high scores in major assessment categories, including the safety and health management leadership of its CEO, safety and health education, raising employee awareness, and field participation activities. As a result, it was the only quasi-governmental organization among the 105 public institutions to receive a Grade A rating.

K-SURE has focused on eliminating safety blind spots by going beyond mandatory safety and health education to offer experiential safety training for all employees, while simultaneously supporting safety infrastructure for partner companies.

In particular, the company is promoting the spread of a safety culture by leveraging its core business, trade insurance. It provides incentives for small and medium-sized export companies that have obtained the excellent safety and health certification from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, expanding their trade insurance limit by up to 1.5 times and offering a 20% discount on insurance premiums.

Through these efforts, last year, K-SURE supported a total of KRW 6.2 trillion in trade insurance for 345 small and medium-sized companies with excellent safety and health records, marking a 17% increase compared to the previous year.

Jang Youngjin, President of K-SURE, stated, "This achievement is especially meaningful as it is the result of the joint efforts of all executives and staff to create a safe and healthy workplace," adding, "We will continue to prioritize safety as our top management objective and contribute to building a safer Korea."
