LS Chairman Koo Ja-eun's Mother Yoo Han Sun Passes Away

Yoo Han Sun, mother of LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-eun, passed away at around 10 a.m. on April 19 due to old age. She was 93 years old.

The late Yoo Han Sun, born in 1933, was married to the late Koo Doo-hoe, Honorary Chairman of Yesco. She is survived by one son and three daughters: Koo Ja-eun, Chairman of LS Group; Koo Eun-jung, Chairwoman of Taeun Logistics; Koo Ji-hee; and Koo Jae-hee. Her surviving in-laws include daughter-in-law Jang In-young and sons-in-law Kim Joong-min, David Nunez, and Kim Dong-beom.

Yoo Han Sun was known as a frugal and caring mother who served as a strong support for her children, including Chairman Koo, and was remembered by those around her for her lifelong dedication to her family.

Chairman Koo Ja-eun reportedly canceled his previously scheduled participation in the presidential economic delegation to India and Vietnam due to the sudden passing of his mother and is now at the funeral hall.

The bereaved family announced that, in accordance with Yoo Han Sun's wishes for a modest funeral, the ceremony will be held quietly as a family funeral, and they politely declined floral tributes and condolence money. The funeral hall is Room 20 at Seoul Asan Hospital Funeral Hall, and the burial site is at Gwangju Park Cemetery in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province. The funeral procession will take place at 10 a.m. on April 21.
