Nighttime Inspection of 66 Establishments Suspected of Prostitution Near Dongdaegu Transfer Center... Joint Crackdown by Civic Groups, Authorities, and Police

On April 16, the Daegu Dong-gu District Office conducted a joint public-private nighttime inspection and promotional campaign targeting establishments suspected of prostitution around the Dongdaegu Complex Transfer Center in Sincheon-dong.

The inspection covered a total of 66 establishments, including adult entertainment bars, karaoke lounges, singing rooms, and lodgings.

Dong-gu District in Daegu conducted a joint public-private nighttime inspection targeting 66 establishments suspected of prostitution located across from the Dongdaegu Complex Transfer Center.

A total of 26 participants took part in the inspection, including representatives from private organizations supporting prostitution victims, Dongbu Police Station, Dongbu Fire Station, Daegu City, Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education, and the Dong-gu District Office. The inspection focused on checking for the posting of prostitution prevention notices, providing information prohibiting prostitution and brokering activities, monitoring for underage access, and verifying compliance with installation and management standards for fire safety facilities.

Kim Tae-woon, acting head of the Dong-gu District Office, stated, "We will continue to strengthen prevention activities, especially in areas where high-risk businesses are concentrated, to do our utmost to achieve a 'prostitution-zero Dong-gu.'"
