On Saturday, the 18th, as the rain that had been falling mainly in the southern regions comes to an end, early summer-like heat is expected to return.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the central regions will be mostly clear, while the southern regions will start off cloudy but gradually clear up from the morning. In Jeju Island, some areas will see rain from the afternoon, and there may be some brief showers in southern Gangwon during the evening. The expected rainfall through the 18th is 10-40 mm in Busan and South Gyeongsang, 5-30 mm along the southern coast of South Jeolla, and 5-20 mm in Daegu and southern North Gyeongsang.
Morning lows will range from 7 to 15 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will reach 19 to 28 degrees Celsius, which is about 2 to 6 degrees higher than average for this time of year. Particularly in inland areas, daytime temperatures will rise above 25 degrees, making it feel hot, and the temperature difference between day and night will be significant, ranging from around 15 to 20 degrees, so caution is advised for health management.
Fine dust concentrations will remain at 'good' to 'moderate' levels nationwide.
Wave heights will range from 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the South Sea. In the offshore areas (up to about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights will be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West and South Seas.
