On April 17, SC First Bank announced that it would strengthen the core values of its 'next-generation private banking (PB) model,' which is designed for affluent clients, and expand its global lifestyle program.
The private banking model, targeting clients with deposits of at least KRW 1 billion at SC First Bank, is characterized by its adaptation of wealth management expertise proven in global markets such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Korean market.
As part of the program, SC First Bank provides 'thought leadership' to clients through masterclasses featuring leaders from various fields, offering insights and practical inspiration for clients' business decision-making.
In a masterclass scheduled for May, clients selected by onsite lottery will have the opportunity to receive a one-point golf lesson from Director Seri Park. Additionally, private one-on-one golf lessons with professional golfers and exclusive private dinners will also be offered. Director Park is the first client of the SC First Bank Private Banking Center.
SC First Bank explained that through its private banking, it shares private wealth management solutions, expert group-tailored asset management, inheritance, donation, and business succession planning, global experiences and lifestyle benefits, as well as private banking center spaces with its clients.
In addition to providing wealth management services such as investment portfolios and global investment products utilizing the network of its parent company, Standard Chartered Group, a group of experts who have completed programs at INSEAD, one of the world’s top business schools, are exclusively responsible for portfolio management.
Since November last year, SC First Bank has been operating the Apgujeong PB Center and plans to further expand its PB centers in the second half of this year to grow its private banking client base.
The bank also offers a variety of events. On April 5, through a collaboration between Standard Chartered Group and Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Korean clients were invited for a tour aboard the latest 46,000-ton cruise yacht in the Ritz-Carlton Global Yacht Collection fleet, which docked at Incheon Port.
Additionally, in partnership with Porsche’s official dealer SSCL, new car exhibition docent programs were held at Porsche Center Busan and Porsche Studio Hannam.
Sachin Bhambhani, Deputy President of Affluent & Wealth Management at SC First Bank, said, "SC First Bank is enriching our clients’ lives with symbolic and unique lifestyle benefits that only a global bank can offer, such as the masterclass with Director Park. We will continue to set the standard for next-generation private banking models based on our five core values encompassing space, service, and experience."
