This activity involved a total of 180 members and their families from affiliates in the Pangyo area and was conducted via online video conferencing. Participants used kits distributed in advance to create upcycled long umbrellas and experienced the meaning of resource circulation and eco-friendly practices through environmental education focused on recycled plastic.

The upcycled long umbrellas produced will go through a collection process and are scheduled to be delivered to vulnerable groups in the local community. During the delivery process, recipients will also participate in separate environmental education and experiential activities to enhance their understanding of environmental issues and support the practice of eco-friendly living.

The eco-friendly kit production volunteer activity has been an employee-participation social contribution program since 2019. Together with affiliates such as SK Plasma, SK Chemicals uses eco-friendly kits made by social enterprises and social ventures to raise environmental awareness and share with others.

Ko Jeongseok, Head of Business Support Division at SK Chemicals, said, "We hope that experiencing the transformation of discarded waste into useful products will raise awareness about the importance of resource circulation. We will continue to launch various campaigns that can further promote and encourage the practice of the social value of resource circulation."
