"Seeking Tasters for Suncheon’s Flavors"... Recruiting Consumer Evaluation Panel for Gastronomy Contest

Suncheon City in South Jeolla Province announced that it will be recruiting a "Consumer Evaluation Panel" from April 17 to May 1 to participate in a consumer blind review ahead of the upcoming 11th Suncheon Gastronomy Contest, which is scheduled to take place in May.

The Consumer Evaluation Panel will consist of up to 10 people, and anyone interested in Suncheon’s cuisine and travel can apply. Foreign residents are also eligible if they live in Suncheon and are able to communicate in Korean.

Additionally, after the evaluation is completed and the winning restaurants are announced, the panel members will participate in promoting the event on social media by sharing food photos and other content taken during their activities. However, the details of the evaluation will remain confidential, and related posts must be pre-approved through prior consultation.

Applicants can download the application form from the Suncheon City website, fill it out, and send it via email. Applicants who operate social media accounts or have relevant experience will be given preference.

A city official stated, "Through this program, which allows direct evaluation from the consumer’s perspective, we plan to discover competitive vegan restaurants in the region and further strengthen Suncheon's culinary content by linking it with our identity as a healing city. We hope for active participation from citizens interested in gastronomy and travel."
