Geochang County in Gyeongsangnam-do is accelerating its final preparations for the opening of the "Sky Gubigil Trail Construction Project" at Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land, in celebration of the 2026 Year of Visiting Geochang. The project is set to be opened to tourists in May.
The county announced on April 17 that Acting Mayor Kim Hyunmi led a preliminary inspection at the construction site of the Sky Gubigil Trail within the Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land.
The inspection focused on the safety of the facilities, the installation status of visitor amenities, the management of visitor routes, and the condition of the surrounding environment. This final inspection before opening is being conducted to ensure that tourists can use the facilities in a safe and pleasant environment.

The county invested 5 billion won from the Local Extinction Response Fund in the project, equipping it with various rest and observation spaces such as shelters, the Nest Observatory, and the Y-shaped Observatory.
One of the trail’s main advantages is that it offers an easy and accessible route for everyone to enjoy Geochang’s stunning natural scenery without the need to climb steep mountains.
Going beyond a simple walking trail, the Sky Gubigil Trail is expected to attract repeat visits as a healing and experiential tourism destination that allows visitors to experience new seasonal landscapes throughout the year.
Acting Mayor Kim Hyunmi stated, "Please make thorough preparations before the opening so that tourists can use the facilities in safety and comfort," adding, "With the opening of the Sky Gubigil Trail, we hope that Geochang Anti-Aging Healing Land will establish itself as a leading healing tourism destination that visitors will want to return to."
