Paju City in Gyeonggi Province is recruiting tenants for the "Fine (FINE) Housing" jeonse rental program, which aims to ease the housing cost burden for newlywed couples and households with newborns.
The "Fine (FINE) Housing" program allows applicants to directly select a home of their choice, after which the Paju Urban Corporation signs the jeonse (long-term deposit lease) contract and subleases it to the applicant. The name signifies "Paju-ro In(IN)" and "high-quality housing for the people of Paju," and is a Paju-style basic housing policy designed to reduce the initial housing costs for newlyweds.
This recruitment targets a total of 100 households. Eligible applicants include newlywed couples (including engaged couples) and households with newborns who do not own a home. Notably, applicants can choose any residence within Paju City, rather than from a predefined list, and existing jeonse tenants are also eligible to apply.
Selected applicants will receive interest support of up to 352,000 won per month for up to six years on a low-interest jeonse loan of up to 192 million won (2.2%) provided by the Housing and Urban Fund. In addition, at the time of the initial contract, up to 720,000 won in brokerage fees will be supported, along with a 20% discount on real estate brokerage fees through an agreement with the Paju Association of Certified Realtors.
Eligible applicants must be members of a non-home-owning household as of the recruitment announcement date, including newlywed couples, engaged couples, and households with newborns. They must also meet detailed income and asset requirements. Duplicate applications are not allowed, so applicants should read the announcement carefully before applying.
The application period runs from the 24th to the 30th of this month, and applications must be submitted in person at the Welfare Building, 1st floor, Unjeong Happiness Center. Detailed eligibility criteria and supply conditions can be found in the announcements posted on the Paju City Hall and Paju Urban Corporation websites.
