Yoo Haenam, Sacheon Mayoral Candidate: "I Will Win Through the Citizens' Choice, Not Political Collusion"

Yoo Haenam, the preliminary mayoral candidate for Sacheon from the People Power Party, strongly criticized candidate Jeong Dae-woong's declaration of support for Park Dong-sik on the 17th, calling it a "political collusion lacking both political justification and responsibility to the citizens."

In a statement released that day, Yoo said, "At this crucial moment ahead of the main primary, outdated politics centered on power consolidation, not on competition over policies and vision, is being repeated," adding, "This is an act that betrays the expectations of Sacheon citizens."

◆ "A union without justification that betrays the promise of a united team"

Yoo pointed out, "Candidate Jeong Dae-woong pledged fair competition and a united team during the preliminary primary, but ultimately overturned this commitment in pursuit of political interests."

He further criticized, "It is a deception of the citizens for someone who had been criticizing the current city administration to suddenly declare support," raising the level of condemnation by calling it "a decision that undermines trust in Sacheon's politics."

◆ "Suspicions of secret deals must be disclosed to the citizens"

Yoo also raised questions about the background of the endorsement. He stated, "I cannot help but ask whether the endpoint of a series of confusing moves during the unification process was a political union based on dividing up positions," and asserted, "Any deals involving personnel authority, interests, or future guarantees must be clearly disclosed to the citizens."

He added, "Such a union is nothing more than a product of anxiety aimed at restraining the candidate who came in first place in the preliminary primary."

◆ "Administrative innovation is needed for Sacheon's future"

Yoo emphasized, "Sacheon's future cannot be contained by forces relying on incumbent privileges and the politics that ride along with them," stressing, "What Sacheon needs now is not a repetition of outdated administration, but management-style leadership proven by results."

He further stated, "Real changes in urban development, industry sustainability, and job creation all begin with bold innovation."

◆ "Will create a true united team together with the citizens"

Yoo declared, "I will win as a true united team together with all 110,000 Sacheon citizens, not through collusion with specific factions," and added, "I will achieve victory honorably through the choice of the citizens, not through politics of power-sharing."

He also stressed, "I will set a new standard for Sacheon's politics through a fair and upright election until the very end."

◆ "Choose Sacheon's future in the main primary"

Finally, Yoo appealed, "I ask the citizens to judge who is the candidate truly prepared for Sacheon's future and who can provide transparent and responsible administration," and urged, "Please usher in a new era for Sacheon with an overwhelming choice in the main primary on April 18 and 19."
