Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province is accepting applications for the first round of participants in the "One Month Travel in Sacheon" program until April 24, 2026, in an effort to promote stay-type tourism and raise awareness of local tourism resources.
This initiative is a stay-type tourism program that moves beyond simply visiting tourist spots. Participants will stay in the region for a certain period, directly experience Sacheon's natural, cultural, and tourism resources, and share their experiences as online content.
Eligible applicants are adults aged 19 or older who, as of the announcement date, reside outside South Gyeongsang Province. Anyone with a strong interest in traveling to Sacheon and the ability to promote the region's tourism through personal social media channels is encouraged to apply.
Selected participants will stay in Sacheon for at least four days and can freely plan their travel itinerary. During their stay, they are required to experience local attractions and cultural content, and complete a promotional mission by posting travel reviews, photos, and videos on their personal social media accounts.
Participants will receive support for accommodation expenses of up to KRW 70,000 per day per team (1-2 people), experience activity expenses of KRW 70,000 to 100,000 per person, and travel insurance coverage of up to KRW 20,000 per person, provided they complete the assigned tasks.
Approximately 15 teams will be selected through a comprehensive evaluation of their motivation for applying, the specificity of their travel plans, and the effectiveness of their proposed content promotion.
Applications can be submitted via the online platform "Gyeongnam Baro Service," as well as by email or postal mail. Further details are available in the announcement posted on the Sacheon City website.
An official from Sacheon City stated, "This program offers an opportunity to experience the charms of Sacheon in depth, not just through a visit but by staying here. We hope that the vivid content created by participants will help promote Sacheon's tourism to a wider audience."
