Since obtaining the certification in 2007, Evejari has consistently succeeded in being recertified year after year. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the company continues to achieve outstanding results, firmly establishing itself as a leading player in ESG management.

Evejari’s core competitiveness lies in its eco-friendly product design utilizing natural materials. By focusing on organic cotton, hanji (Korean traditional paper), bamboo, and other natural materials, the company enhances breathability and antibacterial properties, while reducing greenhouse gas emissions during production and minimizing environmental pollution through biodegradable product features.

This philosophy is fully embodied in this year’s new releases, ‘Wales’ and ‘Toulain.’ Wales is a blend of modal, derived from beech tree extract, and cotton, offering enhanced temperature and humidity control. Toulain is made from high-density 60-count 100% cotton, processed with high-temperature washing to provide a more comfortable sleeping environment. In addition, Evejari has expanded its range of eco-friendly products by launching the renewed ‘New Osol’ from its organic line, made with cotton grown for over three years without chemical fertilizers.

Beyond simple product manufacturing, Evejari’s more than 30 years of carbon neutrality initiatives have also drawn attention. In 1987, Evejari established ‘Ebrand,’ a company dedicated to forest management, and has since cultivated a 230,000-square-meter corporate forest in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province. The company has also led urban forest creation, including partnering with Seoul City to establish large-scale city forests around Hangang Park. As a result of these efforts, Evejari has secured a cumulative total of 1,924 tons of carbon credits through the Korea Forest Service’s ‘Forest Carbon Offset Program,’ of which 783 tons have been donated to internal and external campaigns, contributing to tangible carbon offset activities.

Furthermore, Evejari has built an internal inventory to monitor the company’s carbon emissions and has announced its ‘2050 NET-ZERO Evejari’ future vision, aiming to achieve carbon neutrality across all business sectors by 2050. Through this, the company plans to systematically implement mid- to long-term carbon reduction initiatives.

Jongwoong Yoon, CEO of Evejari, stated, “Creating value that benefits both people and nature is Evejari’s unchanging core philosophy,” adding, “We will continue to contribute to healthy sleep for our customers and the future of the planet, fulfilling our responsibilities as a specialized ESG company.”
