Why Go Far? Campus Picnic Is the Real Fun

Gyeongnam Information University announced on April 17 that it held the "2026 Youth Anthem Spring Picnic" event on the lawn of Minseok Square on campus on April 15.

Hosted by the student council, this event was held under the theme "The Moment Our Youth Blossoms in the Spring Breeze." Over 200 participants, including current students, international students, and adult learners, enjoyed opportunities for networking and interaction.

At the event, picnic baskets, coffee, and sandwiches were provided, and there was a busking performance by the Sing-Along club. Handmade desserts prepared by students from the Department of Hotel Baking and Pastry and the "Part Boulanger" club were also distributed.

Alongside the event, programs to promote student health were also offered. These included a drug prevention campaign run by the Student Counseling Center, a suicide prevention counseling booth in collaboration with the Sasang-gu Mental Health Welfare Center, a smoking cessation campaign by the campus health office, and vitamin distribution.

Jung Yongju, Director of the Student Career Support Center, said, "This became an opportunity to strengthen communication among members," and added, "We will continue to support students so they can enjoy a healthy campus life."
