It is a leading local marketplace where about 200 farms directly supply consumers with fresh agricultural products through direct transactions.
Candidate Jin Tae Kim has consistently attended the opening ceremonies since his candidacy in 2022, demonstrating his special interest in Wonju's farmers. At the site on this day, Jin Tae Kim, along with National Assemblyman Jeongha Park and other city and provincial council candidates, toured the market, greeted merchants and citizens, and checked the supply of local agricultural products.
After visiting the market, candidate Jin Tae Kim joined major local figures for breakfast, where they discussed current agricultural issues and ways to revitalize the local economy. Jin Tae Kim shared that visiting the vibrant Wonju Farmers' Dawn Market always gives him great energy to start the day.
He emphasized his achievements, saying, "The provincial agricultural budget has been expanded to 600 billion won, and we have implemented the nation's first half-price agricultural material policy to alleviate the burden on the agricultural sector."
He continued, "As a result of these various efforts, local farm income ranked third nationwide last year. I promise to continue developing practical support measures so that farmers can work with peace of mind in the future."

Candidate Jin Tae Kim for Governor of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province unveiled his ambitious plan to transform Gangwon tourism by harnessing the power of visual content.
On the 16th, he visited Seondol Observatory in Yeongwol, the filming location of the movie "The Man Who Lives with the King," which recently surpassed 16 million cumulative viewers, setting new box office records. There, he released the third episode of his "Relay of Perseverance" series, titled "Still, Tourism with Jin Tae Kim," and announced his vision to make Gangwon a world-class tourist destination.
Gangwon Province, led by the Gangwon Film Commission, has supported around 100 film and drama projects annually to turn various locations in the province into new tourist attractions. As a result, last year it achieved the third-highest record for filming invitations among the 15 regional film commissions nationwide. "The Man Who Lives with the King" also served as a 2025 Gangwon filming support project, demonstrating Gangwon's strategic foresight.
Candidate Jin Tae Kim presented his pledge to build on these achievements and lead a leap forward in Gangwon tourism. He plans to actively infuse the power of visual content into the tourism industry, just as the old KBS Yeongwol Broadcasting Station, the filming location of the movie "Radio Star," was remodeled into the "Radio Star Museum" and other filming sites across the city have become unified tourism themes that have revitalized the region. He also pledged to recreate the success of "Winter Sonata," which made Chuncheon a pilgrimage site for Japanese tourists, thereby ushering in a new golden age of tourism in Gangwon.
Jin Tae Kim declared, "I will make Gangwon, with its unparalleled natural beauty and rich stories, a true 'global studio without a roof.'" He added, "Just as excellent visual content breathes life into local communities, we will pursue bold tourism policies to turn 10 million moviegoers into 100 million Gangwon tourists."
