On April 17, Incheon International Airport Corporation announced that it participated in the '2026 ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium,' held in Marrakesh, Morocco from April 13 to 16, and received the Platinum grade-the highest rating in the ICAO's Training Plus Programme (TPP) certification system-for the third year in a row.

The ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium is the largest international event in the civil aviation sector, attended by 1,600 aviation professionals from around the world. In this year’s evaluation, the corporation’s Aviation Academy was recognized for maintaining world-class competencies across all areas, including curriculum development and operation, as well as instructor training.

During the symposium, on April 15, the corporation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Civil Aviation Training Center (CATC) of the Philippines to strengthen cooperation in aviation education. The two institutions agreed to jointly develop curricula, exchange professional instructors, and expand both invitation-based and on-site training. Through these efforts, the corporation plans to identify new education demand in the Southeast Asian region and expand the foundation for exporting its education business.

Operating an exhibition booth throughout the event, the corporation promoted aviation-specialized training programs such as the A7 course, which is jointly managed with aviation academies from Europe and Singapore, and explored cooperation opportunities with more than 20 organizations.

Shinga Kyun, Executive Director of Management at Incheon International Airport Corporation, stated, "Through this year's ICAO GISS, the corporation’s competitiveness in aviation education, which is leading the global aviation education market, has once again been reaffirmed. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen cooperation with ICAO and other global partners, and package our aviation education curricula, operational expertise, and instructor resources to expand the export of our education business in connection with overseas projects."

Since its opening in 2008, the corporation’s Aviation Academy has become the only institution in the Asia-Pacific region to obtain accreditation from all three major international organizations: ICAO, Airports Council International (ACI), and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). To date, it has produced 12,210 trainees from 162 countries, with cumulative education revenue reaching 8.8 billion won.
