Eastar Jet has achieved a perfect score in the safety category of the "2025 Air Traffic Service Assessment," organized by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Korea Transport Institute, earning the highest grade.
Eastar Jet announced on the 17th that it received an A++ grade with a perfect score of 100 in the safety category of this assessment. The Air Traffic Service Assessment is an annual system that evaluates the service quality of airlines and airports, consisting of four categories: operational reliability, protection of air traffic users, safety, and user satisfaction.
Eastar Jet received full marks in all 10 items of the safety category without any deductions. In particular, it exceeded the "National Safety Performance Indicator" target, set by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, by more than 30%. In addition, it scored 3.8 out of 4 in the "Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) Implementation Maturity," a key safety management inspection indicator, surpassing the industry average for airlines.
The results also reflected the fact that there were no accidents, incidents, or fines imposed during the evaluation period. An Eastar Jet official stated, "Safety is a top priority that cannot be compromised under any circumstances, and this assessment is the result of the efforts of all our employees. We will continue to maintain the highest level of safety through ongoing investment and training."
Meanwhile, in October of last year, Eastar Jet expanded its safety investments by opening an integrated maintenance center at Gimpo International Airport, covering approximately 1,700 pyeong (about 56,200 square feet). In December of the same year, the airline also obtained the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification.
