Nexwill, Supplier of Cheongung-II Components, Secures 10 Billion Won Investment

"Gumi Plant Begins Operations, Accelerating Anti-Drone Business"

Nexwill, a company specializing in electronic warfare (EW) and radar for national defense, announced on April 17 that it has secured a total investment of 10 billion won from major institutional investors.

This latest investment round included Timefolio Asset Management, Kyobo Securities, Company K Partners, and Villance Investment. The investors are said to have made their decision based on Nexwill's advanced radio frequency (RF) convergence technology and the company's strong growth potential in the field of electronic warfare.

Founded in 2005, Nexwill is an Innobiz-certified defense company that has developed technology to meet the Small, Lightweight, Low Power, and Low Cost (SWaP-C) requirements of weapon systems. The company supplies key components such as transmitter-receiver and control modules for the mid-range surface-to-air guided weapon system "Cheongung-II" and active electronically scanned array (AESA) radars to major domestic defense contractors. Recently, Nexwill has also been achieving results in the anti-drone sector through collaboration with the Agency for Defense Development.

Nexwill plans to use the newly secured investment to expand the production lines at its new hub in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, which recently began operations. Through this expansion, the company aims to actively enter the Middle Eastern and Eastern European markets, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia, both of which are major export destinations for Cheongung-II.
