Genesis announced on the 17th that it was recently selected as the 'Best Car Brand' in a reader survey conducted by Germany's leading automotive media outlet, Auto Bild.
The results of Auto Bild's evaluation-highly trusted in Germany, the home of the automotive industry-are used as an important reference not only for German consumers but also for European car buyers when making purchasing decisions.
This evaluation is especially significant because it reflects actual market perceptions, as ordinary readers-not a panel of expert judges-participated directly in the selection process. Notably, this year saw record participation, with more than 50,000 readers taking part.
Specifically, 52 car brands were evaluated across 14 detailed categories, with the assessment focusing on three main areas: quality, design, and price competitiveness.
As a result, Genesis outperformed European premium brands such as Porsche to win both the overall top honor of 'Best Car Brand' and the title of 'Best Luxury Car Brand' in the luxury category. In particular, Genesis scored the highest marks for price competitiveness in the luxury segment.
Genesis was also praised for its outstanding quality and safety, sophisticated design, convenient features, and strong price competitiveness, earning recognition as a well-deserved recipient of these awards.
Si-Hyuck Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Genesis Business Division, stated, "Being selected as the Best Car Brand is the result of Genesis gradually expanding its presence in Europe with a strategy focused on establishing brand standards rather than short-term sales performance. Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen our foundation based on sophisticated design, advanced technology, and a differentiated retail experience."
Meanwhile, Genesis first entered the European market in 2021 with hubs in Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Since then, it has expanded its business to France, Italy, and the Netherlands, and is planning to enter Spain within this year.
