Siwoo Kim and Sungjae Im finished tied for 10th place.
On April 16 (local time), at the Harbour Town Golf Links (par 71, 7,243 yards) in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Siwoo Kim carded a 5-under-par 66 in the first round of the PGA Tour’s RBC Heritage (total prize money: USD 20 million), making six birdies and one bogey. Sungjae Im also finished the first round tied for 10th, recording one eagle, four birdies, and one bogey. They are just one stroke behind the players tied for fourth, and three shots back of the leader, Ludvig Aberg (Sweden), who posted an 8-under-par 63.

Siwoo Kim wrapped up his first round on a positive note by sinking an 8.5-meter birdie putt on the final 18th hole (par 4). Sungjae Im made an eagle with a chip shot from near the green on the par-5 second hole. He continued without a bogey until the last 18th hole, where he missed a par putt from less than two meters, resulting in his only bogey of the day.
Harris English (USA) and Viktor Hovland (Norway) are tied for second place at 7-under-par 64, one stroke behind the leader. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (USA) is tied for 20th at 3-under-par 68. Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), who won the Masters for the second consecutive year last week, did not participate.
